About Ground Alchemy

At 6:00 am on a crisp March morning in Brisbane, the sun cast its golden rays over what would soon become a cherished part of the New Farm community: Ground Alchemy.

Born in 2022, Ground Alchemy emerged as a reimagined space after five successful years as a specialist coffee café in New Farm. Crafted by visionary Britt Ayling, this unique venture is the culmination of her extensive experience in design, hospitality, and business. It also embodies her heartfelt mission to nurture health, happiness, and connection for the mind, body, and planet.

On that first day, visitors were welcomed into a thoughtfully curated space featuring a long timber service bar, a state-of-the-art coffee machine, and inviting seating options. Whether seated on polished wood coffee tables, cozy bench seating with sweeping views, or forest-green velvet chairs under an industrial chandelier, each guest was invited to relax, connect, and savor the moment.

Through the double doors, sunlight streamed into an alfresco-inspired dining area, where families, friends, and even furry companions gathered to enjoy the casual elegance of the space. High ceilings, a flow of fresh air, and earthy tones of terracotta and black-and-white European-style tiles created an ambiance of calm and connection—a perfect setting for sharing conversation, community, and nourishment.

From its inception, Ground Alchemy has been more than just a place; it is a movement built on a philosophy of passion, vitality, and care. With its Espresso Elixir Bar, organic wholefood menu, health and wellness retail, and soulful music events, the space is a celebration of community collaboration and shared purpose. The people of New Farm have played a vital role in bringing this dream to life, contributing their support, ideas, and energy to help Ground Alchemy thrive.
